Established in 2002, Beltinge & District Funeral Services Ltd. is proud to serve and support the families of Herne Bay and its surrounding districts.
We are a locally owned family business, which was founded and is owned by John Wells, who is a Licensed and Qualified Funeral Director gaining his SAIF IFD College Diploma. John followed his father Fred into the profession in 1965, working with Herne & District under the care of Frank Gates and Fred Iggulden under the care of John Conyon, who was also the leader of Herne Bay Urban District Council. Both held very high standards which were instilled in John very early on and to which he proudly leads his company forward today.
Our aim is to offer standards that are second to none, operating with compassion, care and kindness to all our families and their loved ones and always endeavour to go that extra mile to ensure their wishes are carried out.
Our vehicles are a top of the range Mercedes fleet and we are able to offer many alternative and themed vehicles. We can supply a horse drawn hearse, motorcycle hearse, trike hearse, lorry hearse, Del Boy hearse, Land Rover hearse, military and farming vehicles. We also endeavour to fulfil any other requests or ideas you may have.
We are members of SAIF (The National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors), the BIFD (British Institute of Funeral Directors) and the AGFD (Association of Green Funeral Directors) and we abide by all of their Codes of Practice.
We are dedicated professionals who provide a caring, personal service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This enables us to provide a professional, high standard of service; offering support, guidance and advice to those that are bereaved. We know that when you suffer bereavement, the funeral of a loved one can be the most difficult day of your life. Everything that you, your friends and family feel, is expressed on that day.
As your funeral directors, we are here to help and advise in whatever way we can. When someone passes away, it comes as a great shock and there are many decisions to be made. Our aim is to make a difficult time a little easier for you, ensuring you retain control of how the funeral is conducted, offering you choice, and ensuring the funeral we arrange is personal for you and your loved one. We are able to visit you in the comfort of your own home at no extra cost or alternatively you may come to our office.
